Hi. I love the ones in restaurants (California Pizza Kitchen, Chili's, etc) Does anyone have one for at home with a spicy alfredo type suace and shrimp and sausage?
Thanks!Cajun type creamy pasta recipes?
This recipe is a hot one, but delicious! If you are weak of tongue, then divide the amounts of peppers in half. Better to add more than spoil your creation! Bay scallops are preferred, but the larger sea scallops can be used if they are cut in half. This dish can also be placed in a casserole dish and placed under the broiler until top turns golden brown!

i work in a Latin style rest. so i have what you need.
depending on the hotness you have many options.
for two servings:
two cups of heavy cream, pureed chipolte peppers, garlic and hand full of parm cheese. reduce a little. add cooked pasta and cooked shrimp. saute for a bit, until it thickens. the starch in the pasta will thicken the sauce.
you could add sausage.... but i dont know what that might taste like. if so use andulli sausage.
i have one with shrimp but not sausage.
Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta
INGREDIENTS
1 (8 ounce) package angel hair pasta
1/4 cup butter
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
2 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
Melt butter in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Saute shrimp for 1 minute on each side. Stir in garlic, and cook for 1 minute. Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon; set aside. Stir in flour and Cajun seasoning. Cook, stirring for 5 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk, then cook until thickened. Remove from heat, and season with salt and lemon juice. Return shrimp to sauce, and spoon over cooked pasta.
But I don't see why you couldn't add some cooked sausage.
Enjoy!
